Process

How I work with agencies

Clear terms up front, so we both know what to expect from day one.

Before we start

Scope, hours and rate are agreed in writing before any work begins. I need 2–3 working days' notice for new work, and access to your repos, boards and review notifications from the start.

Communication

Check-ins match the hours booked: a short weekly or fortnightly call for retainers, your standups when I'm embedded in your team. Day to day, I keep progress up to date in your PM tool and reply within one working day. After any call where decisions are made, I'll send a short written recap.

Working hours

I work to the hours booked, not a fixed 9:00–17:30. Those hours can fall across the week, including over a weekend, unless a set schedule is agreed. I can be around for meetings by arrangement. Calls and check-ins count towards the booked hours.

Changes and urgent work

New requests go through a quick written change request with an hours estimate, approved before I start. Work needed within 2 working days is charged at an urgent rate.

Retainers and notice

Retainers are billed monthly in advance, with a minimum initial term of 3 months and 30 days' notice on either side.

Raising concerns

If something isn't working, let me know in writing with specifics. If I have a concern, I'll raise it the same way. Either way, I'll set up a call within a few days to talk it through.
